Gerrit1984 Posted December 6, 2019 Posted December 6, 2019 Hi all I have installed a 10kw grid tie system having 2 Mecer Axpert 5kw inverters and two banks of four 120Amphour omnipower batteries March this year. This system gives me about 30min on batery power. I am not sure if my settings on the inverters are correct for charging and depleting bateries. It is set to switch to bateries on 54V and back to utility on 42V i am guessing there are too many cycles per night. I know the batteries are on the low side for the system. Any recommendations on what size batteries should i go for, how many? And then secondly what is the best settings to prolong battery life? I use about 60kw of electricity per day Thank you in advance Quote
Fazil Posted December 7, 2019 Posted December 7, 2019 Axpert isn't grid tied. Its offgrid. There is a settings sheet for the inverter (preferred settings) but make sure 01 is SBU. 42V is is way too low. 60kw is day and night? Quote
Gerrit1984 Posted December 7, 2019 Author Posted December 7, 2019 Fazil Thank you, yes it is for 24hrs. Should i keep everything on the preffered settings? Quote
