Mike Charlie Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 Good morning. Quick question on Victron Multiplus II. Is the power on AC-2 completely un-invertered and “dirty”? Our area experiences bad power. I would like to run a ITS hear-pump on AC-2 out and, as the ITS is vulnerable to spikes, hoped that Mutiplus would reduce the impact? Quote

When connected to the grid, both AC-1 and AC-2 are connected to the grid and are, as you put it, un-inverted. But the Multi will disconnect from the grid if the voltage moves out of the acceptable range, which should help. Personally, I'd put in some SPDs (surge protection devices). Just remember to put them on the grid side BEFORE the RCD (aka earth leakage). Quote
