Battery Cables

Featured Replies

Ok, I want to get a cable from my battery crate to my devices, using 175amp Brad Harrison connectors, that I can disconnect during a crisis, or to move the bank.

Length planned is about 2.5m per run. 2m from batt to connector and 500mm from 2nd connector to where the devices are.

I can wait for 50mm2 cable OR will it work if I use 2x25mm2 per run? So 2 x 25mm2 for positive and 2 x 25mm2 for negative, exact same lengths.

Why this complicated? I have the cable spare so want to use it.

Would you do it?

Wait for 50mm2. Will be neater easier to insert into the BH lugs and just easier to work with... my view anyway... Try and get red and black so you have your + and - easily distinguishable.

I have a tendency to mess it up ... therefor the BM, can only fit one way ... but I hear you loud and clear for battery side.

Point taken re. neatness and the cable fitting the lugs, actually forgot about that, but would 2 x 25mm2 cable be acceptable to replace 1 x 50mm2?
