I recently installed a 3kw mecer inverter and it has been working from utility mains only for a couple of weeks now.Its MPPT and max open circuit voltage rating is 600W and 75V respectively.My battery bank consists of two 200Ah lead acid batteries. Now l need to add some solar panels to the system and my question is how many should l install and of what power rating and voltage rating should they be for.
April 9, 20215 yr The MPPT seems to be designed for 2 60 cell panels in series. They go up to about 340W each, which will be fine, your MPPT will just limit the output power to 600W.
