Dear Mr. Bush,
Trust you are good.
I have 5.2kW Solar panel with 200AH flooded battery. Have a query similar to what Mr. Coulomb had...i have kept the output setting as 'SBU' and 'Only solar' charge setting as i want to save my utility cost.
I have kept 'back to battery mode' setting as 56V and 'back to utlity mode' setting as 46V. Question is that during day time also if Solar drops due to cloud/less sunshine battery takes over it and gets it charge till the set value of 56V. With a cloud covering this happens on and off that is charging/discharging pattern. I have kept these settings to save my utlity cost as much, but i am curious that does even charging/discharging for 10 ~15min also will affect my battery cycles/life ? Like these days with cloudy weather it happens for 6 to 7 times also in a single day.
If yes, what is the suggestion then to have a good saving in utility cost along with having a reasonable 2hrs backup atleast in loadshedding times.
Thanks
Syed Rehan
