Total overvoltage Growatt inverter with dyness batteries
Thanks for the concern, I solved the issue by changing the inverter. I now have a sunsynk 8kw, not even one problem yet. The software is great

The alarm is buzzing on the inverter

@Dyness I managed to use US2, customized float and charge voltage using the settings you gave me. We had an overcast sky until today, the alarm buzzed again, I took program 19 down to 52v and 20 to 52v again. Tried again and it buzzed, from my observation there's a software problem somewhere because the behavior is not consistent

Ok, I will try to set float voltage first then I try to set charge voltage back to 53.5

Total overvoltage Growatt inverter with dyness batteries
Program 19 can not go below 54v, it refuses

Total overvoltage Growatt inverter with dyness batteries
Ok, it's in communication, but the inverter keeps charging even if the codes pop up with alarm

Yes, program 19 only come down to 54, if you input 53.5v it goes back to 54v

@Dynessplease help me understand this: is it the battery that is responsible for cutting off charge when full or inverter reads voltage and disconnect charge?

Total overvoltage Growatt inverter with dyness batteries
I set to US2 mode, program 19 can not go less than 54v so I left it at 54v, program 20 I set it to 52.5v and 21 to 47v. It charges ok until it goes past 52.5v sometimes 53v then it starts buzzing. It goes way up to 53.5v or slightly above then drain rapidly to 52-52.5. after this it doesn't go above 52.5 but it keeps buzzing. This is exactly what it does when I set to LI in program 05 or to US2. What I have realized is that this error is meaning battery voltage has exceeded the limit. Why does it exceed limit? I do not know but that's where the answer is.

I did but still I get the same error codes.

Program 19 refused to go below 54v but other settings I did as you said, will give you update. Does it mean anytime I buy other batteries I have to send them for a software upgrade?

Ok, thank you, I'm applying those settings right now and will come back to you.

I'm in Zimbabwe, I just bought these batteries recently, imagine how it feels. Is there any other way I can get assistance

Total overvoltage Growatt inverter with dyness batteries
I do not understand, do I have to send the batteries somewhere or ? According to the serial numbers I gave you does it mean they are all outdated? M sorry for asking much I'm very new to dyness batteries

Total overvoltage Growatt inverter with dyness batteries
Thank you for your response, if I connect 485 port of the inverter it raises BMS communication error. Right now its connected to CAN but surprisingly communicating with 485 protocol 01. Can you further highlight how I can upgrade this Battery, I'm new to dyness batteries

Total overvoltage Growatt inverter with dyness batteries
On protocol 52 it raises BMS error 20. 51 it works fine until battery is almost full then problem comes. From what I have learnt, if battery voltage gets to 53 even if I switch of panels the inverter raises these codes, I tried user defined mode and the battery got to 100% 54v, then I just tried to see what setting LI will say without connecting panels and still these codes came up. Somewhere there is some disagreement between inverter and battery BMS. Any help is greatly appreciated

Total overvoltage Growatt inverter with dyness batteries
I'm new to the forum. Just purchased a 5kw inverter (invest solar/ growatt rebrand from sacolar) and two dyness b4850 batteries. I set program 05 to LI and 036 to CAN protocol 51, everything seems to work fine until battery reaches 52v, 97-98% then I get error message 36 total overvoltage and 03 battery is overcharged. What I have noticed is that the battery does not want to go past 52.5v, the alarm comes again. When I set to LI I also discovered that charge voltage will go to 54v. Any help is greatly appreciated, m stuck without power
