  1. I´m running a off grid system with 3 Pylontech batteries and an Axpert 5kW since now about 4 years. In very rare cases I´d need a generator to avoid that the batteries are running empty. The generator I own is a inverter type with 2kW stable output. I tried to connect the generator to the system with battery charging power set to 20A, but it shut down, when I connected the batteries. Is there any trick how to start the system?
  2. I changed the fans (see my post above) and the result is perfect. If you want to make the ventilation unhearable, use anti-vibration mounts and cut out the the grids. AND...clean the fans frequently
  3. I now installed the Noctua NF-8 FLX with airflow from the bottom to the top. Before installing the new fans I found that the uppermost heatsink (DC/DC converter?) was very hot. To solve this problem I installed a third Noctua with seperate 12V supply. It´s now running permanently with 2000rpm. The heat accumulation in the top of the chassis has been solved and noise dropped down dramatically
  4. I removed those filters, but depends on the dust you have. We have only ultrafine powder from the desert, that passes the pads without any effect. Without the pads the airflow is better.
  5. I have the same fans here since more than a year, but didn´t install them so far. I´m running a MPP Solar PIP 5048GK that should be identical to the Axpert VM-III - MPP Solar provided a firmware update that reduced the fan noise under lower charge, but cannot provide a solucion when the fans are running with full speed. @Wolfgang, did you invert the fan blowing direction?
