  1. I should mention that when it works, it works well. We have hosted many parties during load shedding, running for hours from batteries. Our solution is to make sure there are no load which come close to the 3.3KW limit per phase.
  2. We have had the Goodwe GW10k-ET for a little over a year. I have mixed emotions about the unit: The Goodwe does not start up from Pylontech Powercube H2 batteries on its own. It requires grid power or PV power to start beyond the standby phase. According to Goodwe Support the unit was designed to operate that way. In practice this means that if the unit shuts down during load shedding at night, it will not restart until grid power is restored.
  3. We had a similar scenario at the epicure.club We started with a single-phase IMEON HV5 high voltage inverter and Pylontech Powercube H2 batteries. The system worked well, but we found ourselves adding more load than we initially anticipated. After a year we upgraded to a Goodwe GW10K-ET, which is a 3-phase High voltage inverter. We continued with the Powercube H2 battries. The inverter has been performing well. The only downside that we have seen so far, is that the inverter does not start up from batteries alone. It wants a second power source like the grid or PV. This does not sound like a problem, but can be if the inverter shuts down at night, during load shedding. Using it off grid at night could be a problem too. In practice we are completely independent from Eskom. We can run a party with sound system, lights, refrigeration etc. completely on batteries. We are now replacing our solar heating of the pool with a heat pump, and adding a jacuzzi. Looks like we will upgrade inverters again. Looking at the Blue Mountain BME-50 and the ATESS HPS-50 for the added capacity. I would suggest you look at a high voltage inverter for highest efficiency. There are not many options in SA yet, but we feel they are the future.
  4. Hello Everyone, We have an IMEON 3.6 now and are looking for more capacity and high-voltage storage. We are looking at the Goodwe GW10K-ET and Sofar HYD 15000TL 3Phase inverters. Does anyone have experience with both?
