Great. I agree with learning plenty from playing with the settings. It took ages for us to get to a point where we can use the system for what it is meant to do. But yes, I think an extra battery will do wonders. I think at some point we may invest in a second 5Kw inverter and another battery. But so far it’s not really overloading with our current geyser. Which I think is a 3kw as well. Which we will be changing to a 1.5Kw shortly. Also, I will experiment with setting 14. Currently on solar and utility. Sorry bud, I was never an employee of ABB. 😉

Thanks Antonio. I will show you my graphs from today. so I’m not sure what readings should be etc. but I will say that I’ve left the system on SBU since yesterday. And it hasn’t used much municipal power compared to usual. I could probably do with a second battery to help store PV that is generated. And I’m sure I’ll generate slightly more PV as well once our panels fitted at an angle. Currently just installed flat on our flat roof. Our geyser does make the system spike incredibly, but will be changing the element to a 1.5Kw version. That should make a huge difference in usage. if anyone would like to comment or suggest anything to the above graph. Please feel free. thank you

Will be using the above settings and monitor the system and revert back with the results. Thank you again.

Thanks very much Thibello. My setup is currently on SBU and seems to be working pretty well. But on SOL the inverter tends to cut off PV production as the battery I think reaches 100%. id like the battery to discharge to 30% and charge up to about 80% or 90%. Will the above settings get this outcome?

Hi guys. I hope someone can help me out regarding settings on my system. i have : 1 x Growatt SPF5000-ES inverter 1 x Revov 5.1KWh Li-Ion battery 12 x 330w panels laid flat on a flat roof Depending on the day and weather. I can average around 10-12Kwh a day. I’ve been reading on the forum that people have been monitoring the SOC etc and some settings. My settings on 12 and 13 won’t allow me to change away from 50. Unsure why. My battery selection in setting 5 is USE anyone able to help? I can supply any info you need.
