  1. Good day. My luxpower sna 5000 wpv alarm doesn't buzz. The buzzer is set On. During a low battery or overload shutdown, there is no warning buzzer or alarm. Is this normal?
  2. Thanks for this info guys. What is the function of Type 1 and type 2 DC SPD's and how are they installed and what is the cost?
  3. Hi there Can anyone provide info on solar array panel lightning protection for my system which includes 3 panels on the roof? Thanks Pat
  4. Thanks for this informative feedback Coulomb...will help with my decision.
  5. Hi There. I have a Kodak OG-Plus 3.24 King 3000W inverter which has a max PVA power rating of 1500W. What is the ideal PVA installation power rating? Is it exactly 1500W or should it be slightly higher or lower? The VOC is 145v. MPP range @ operating voltage is 30-115vdc. Efficiency in LINE mode is 93%. Thanks Pat
  6. Hi There N I've just installed a KODAK OG-Plus 3.24 KING Inverter married to two PYLON UP2500 24V batteries. Initially the comms showed a flashing 61 code with plenty beeping. Problem was I had inserted the RJ45 cable (that came with the inverter) into the CAN slot on he master battery. So I removed it and inserted it into the LO/RS485/L1 slot and went thru the installation procedure again. The 61 flashed again with the beeper but after several seconds the battery icon on the inverter LCD display started flashing and the 61 and beeper disappeared. The system was then OK with the batteries and inverter communicating. Hope this helps in some way. I bought the system units from THE POWER STORE so if you need the comms cable (if your VM111 uses the same) they will have it. Good luck Pat
  7. Thanks for your input guys. I've gone with the King.
  8. Thanks for this reply Coulomb. Which of the two would you recommend for my application?
  9. Hi there I'm in the process of upgrading my load shedding backup batt/inverter system. I'm looking at the Kodak inverters mentioned here and I have two new Pylon UP2500 batteries that will be used with he new inverter. What are the essential differences between a Kodak KING 24v 3000w unit and the Kodak VM111 3000w unit? And which of these are recommended. I want to basically backup for load shedding. The load during load shedding varies between 200 and 1500W (mostly around the 500W range) as I've split the DB with plugs and lights fed from the the inverter and the rest from ESKOM, with a changeover switch that allows the entire DB to be supplied by ESKOM. I am planning to have a suitable PV array installed as well. I've also heard that the KING is a better choice for power saving and battery longevity. Looking forward to your assistance. Thanks Pat
