Perhaps as an FYI but below is the feedback I receiver from Sunsynk: The inverter can be completely programmed via both the built in LCD or the app. If you visit the Remote monitoring page on the website, and complete the form for user level access change, I can upgrade your account for you that wouldn’t be a problem. The only thing you wouldn’t have access to it the firmware upgrade option as you must be an approved installer to have this feature. With regards to connectivity, internet access is required as it is a cloud based server.

Hi, I don't see a lot of talk about the Sunsynk batteries. I think Ellies sells them locally. Does anyone have any experience with these batteries? Thanks

Hi, any recommendations in terms of the physical size of PV panels? I see the 540W JA Solar units are 2279mm x 1134mm × 35mm and a colleague commented that installers don't favour these due to the physical size and it being difficult to handle for two people. With the efficiency seeming to improve with size I guess the 'difficult' installation can be seen as a once off hassle?

Thank you I appreciate the input. I don't want to get locked down to a specific installer and as I want to set the system to do what, I want when I want. I'll look into the Sun Synk unit once I get my system set up.

Good evening, I'm looking at the Sun Synk 8.8kW hybrid inverter and I see that the data logger has varying access levels. I'm assuming that the inverter does not have user based access when it comes out of the box and as such all parameters are open to the user from the front panel. Has anyone used the logger and what functions are locked out to the basic user access level? Lastly, can the logger be used on a local network only i.e. without internet access or does it run via some server in China? Regards
