  1. Hi, Please help. I'm trying to get modbus control working on a GoodWe SBP G2, I have some code from the OG SBP but I'm pretty sure the map has significantly changed, this address doesn't work: 'unitid': 247 'fc': 16 'address': 0x56E Does anyone have the new address? I know the map has changed because the OG serial and model read address (0x200) has changed and I was able to figure out the new one (0x07D0) which only returns the serial and doesn't return the model anymore. Thanks.

You might be out of luck with Latronics, I know Latronics are ceasing production soon and the SATS might have already been discontinued...from the website: "Latronics will cease all manufacturing 30th June 2024. We will then cease all repairs, warranty, guarantees and support on 30th June 2025*" I think I might remember one of the Latronics people saying they might release the design files, it doesn't look like too complex a design and repairing them doesn't look that tricky. Maybe you could find some NOS, or Latronics might have some spares they'll sell with a reduced warranty. It's a real shame, they're a fantastic solution.
  3. Hi, Sorry, this is a bit "War & Peace". I just got a GoodWe SBP G2 (5000) here in Australia to allow me to export battery to the grid and also charge the battery from grid, it works, sort of... I have ten Zenaji Aeon batteries (400AH), LTO chemistry, the ten of them can easily support 380A continuous. Minimum voltage is 42.5v and maximum I use is 55v. The BMS on these is internal, no comms bus, if they detect an issue they trip their breakers. I also have MPP inverters (two paralleled 5048MG) they supply the house load and charge the batteries from solar. In addition I have a Growatt that I use for solar export only, I switch my panels to the Growatt with Latronics SATS DC switches. Confusing Frankenstein system, I know, I know but it works well. So the SBP was only installed yesterday. I'm not using the CT clamp setup that came with, I have a Victron SmartShunt that talks to ICC Solar on an RPi (via USB) and a Shelly 3EM for the CT clamp side of things. Today I tried to charge from grid at full power (SolarGo Economic Mode) and its only drawing around 3300w from the grid, so roughly 60% so I'm thinking that even though this is charging (not discharging) that the on/off grid DOD settings (which I can't set above 60%) are causing issues? Has anyone got the SBP to play nice with a self-defined battery that essentially has no BMS and no CT feedback into the SBP? I set the battery size to 400Ah, max voltage to 55v, charge/discharge 100A and SOC Protection "off". I've no idea if these settings are active and I've also got no idea how to set the battery minimum voltage, or how to tell the SBP what SOC the battery (based on voltage) is currently at, the battery shows in SolarGo as "abnormal". Essentially I want the SBP to idle and only charge or discharge (at 5000w of course) when I instruct it to (via a modbus waveshare rs485 to ethernet that isn't installed yet). I will worry about whether its going to overcharge or empty the battery (node-red will do the automation later on, it has all the data it needs through MQTT). This SBP is a confusing thing, please help. I just want the SBP to be dumb and do what its told, when I tell it. Update: bonus points if you know a way a setting on the SBP to switch it from taking its idle/standby power from the battery instead of grid, on the 3EM I can see it sipping 5-15W AC. Thanks. Richard
  4. Hi, I have two MPP 5048MG paralleled inverters (71.80) linked to 4.2KW of solar with 15.36KWH of battery (8 x Zenaji Aeon LTO), when I'm on battery the whole house runs off of it. In summer, when I start to get multiple days completely on battery, I get power outages, basically for a few seconds the inverters seem to crap themselves and my power goes out and straight away it comes back up. No errors that I know how to find. Has anyone seen anything like that, it happened about a month ago (the last time I went over 24 hours on battery) and the power went early in the morning, ICC feeds into emonCMS and it showed a loss of data an hour before the outage (~50v on battery), then an hour later it pops back with data showing the battery at 0v and an hour after that the battery comes back at 50v, its really bizarre. Its been happening in summer a lot since I got the system, it seems like maybe a CPU craps itself slowly and all hell breaks loose. It doesn't happen at all in winter because I pretty much never get multiple days on battery, starts around November and stops around February. I'm not really sure what I can do to troubleshoot it, I have a few UPS's now to mitigate some of the nastier effects but its still a pain, the living room TV coming on and the louvres opening at 6am is not great.
