  1. Apologies, my terminology is incorrect.... Aux Port is wired to smart load (I hope that makes sense?) It works 100% during the day, within it's battery parameters, and the load is never more than 3000w while my essentials never draw more than 1000w. I should note that the Aux Load setting has "grid always on". I did increase the grid disconnect from the preset 185v to 210v (as recommended in the referenced post above) and waited for loadshedding. This time the inverter switched off output to both essentials and aux (as it was above the preset battery parameter) and then came back on 60 seconds later with load to essentials, but not smart load. In the past it has reset like this several times, this time it only did it once. I will email Sunsynk support again with this update and see if they have any other pearls of wisdom.
  2. Thanks Kalahari Cruiser, interesting reading, thanks! I have changed the grid settings as per this thread from dropping at 185v to dropping at 210v - let's see what happens.
  3. I have a Sunsynk 8kw inverter with 3 x Pylontech UP5000 and 5.5kw of panels. By DB has been wired for essentials (lights plugs) and non-essentials (pool pump, geysers). If I set up Aux Output (which is wired to the "non-essentials" on the DB) it all works fine, until the grid goes down. At this point the inverter gives an F18 error and we wait about a minute for the power to come back on ... it runs for a minute or so and then goes through the same cycle. If I then remove the Aux Output (smart load) setting the inverter resets itself and is all fine and runs flawlessly. I mailed Sunsynk and they sent back the rather cryptic "Please adjust grid low disconnect higher and output volts higher." Current settings as per image. I would really like to use the aux output rather then pumping back into the grid. Was wondering if anyone else had had a similar issue and managed to resolve it?
  4. @Tinuva I went back to the logs from 2015 when it was installed and have never had a meter reading..... don't think I have a meter installed to be honest
  5. @Tinuva, even with the grid up, the inverter cuts power which is frustrating. I am on software version 7, which is the latest for this inverter (it's the older 5048 version) @Bobster, l have the same setup as you with a 3 way switch at the DB... I now just leave it on Eskom to save the irritation of power going up and down 4 or 5 times a day. Re the comms - via the EzConverter I get comms from the Battery BMS on both manual settings, as well as when I set it to Pylontech (and I set it to 2*US2000B as per the goodwe engineer on their forum).
  6. On your first question, on the Goodwe and pylontechs - have a look at this -> https://community.goodwe.com/Forum/details/2c9180827c0cfd8d017c13fd958e00cd Exporting is enabled on my system and have had to pay a small fortune for a new meter from the City of Cape Town to get credits for this. I'm not an electrician, but my my system did have to go through an auditing process and get a COC to get connected to the grid, so I certainly hope so.
  7. Maybe the incorrect term.... but the inverter cuts power to the house and then clicks back in about 30 seconds later.
  8. Just to add, when the SOC drops it looks like the inverter is pushing power back to the batteries (see below)
  9. I have several solar panels attached to a Goodwe with 2x Pylontech 4.8kw batteries via an EZConverter. When it works, it works, but the inverter is rebooting several times a day. Goodwe support are not helping and I am at my wits end. Has anyone had similar issues or may be able to assist me? Example of a typical daily graphs below.
