  1. Hi We're building a house near Kruger and it's hot and sunny year round. What type of heating system would you do geysers? We're a family of 5. Would you go electric and power via solar panels? (we get tons of sun) Or would you go gas? It's a new house build so I'd prefer to plan it properly. Any advice and insight is appreciated!
  2. Have you ever bought from pvpower or solarwaysuppliers? Are they legit? Also do you know anything about the SRNE as that looks good?
  3. Thanks. That makes a lot of sense. So in the attached image you'd need at least a 3kw hour inverter to run this aircon?
  4. Hi As per the title can a 3kw inverter handle a 12 BTU inverter aircon? Thanks.
  5. Thanks!!! How many Solar panels can I connect to the second inverter? Do you have any you'd recommend? Thanks Alex
  6. Hi Can someone pleaee help explain the specs and which they'd recommend: Option 1: 3KW 24V/60A Pure Sine Wave Hybrid Inverter - MUST https://www.takealot.com/3kw-24v-60a-pure-sine-wave-hybrid-inverter-must/PLID92610683 Option 2: Must 3kw 50amp/mppt Solar Hybrid Inverter https://www.takealot.com/must-3kw-50amp-mppt-solar-hybrid-inverter/PLID70978791 I can't work out which is better? Is there another you'd maybe recommend in this price range? Many thanks!
  7. Thanks. Would you recommend https://www.takealot.com/3-5kva-24v-80amp-mppt-pure-sine-hybrid-solar-inverter/PLID92464339 or https://www.takealot.com/3kw-24v-60a-pure-sine-wave-hybrid-inverter-must/PLID92610683? It's so hard to tell!
  8. Thanks. So you'd be happy to buy off https://www.securityandmore.co.za/products/must-48v-5kw-offgrid-inverter?variant=44059073446120? I haven't heard of them before. Otherwise this seem like a good option? https://www.takealot.com/3kw-24v-60a-pure-sine-wave-hybrid-inverter-must/PLID92610683
  9. What about this one? Check this out on takealot: 3000VA/2400W 24V Solarwize Hybrid Inverter https://www.takealot.com/3000va-2400w-24v-solarwize-hybrid-inverter/PLID91473232
  10. Hi I have a mecer 2400 and it makes our fans buzz. I think it's the modified sine wave. Looking for a better pure sine inverter. What do you all think of Lalela? Check this out on takealot: Lalela Hybrid Inverter 24V 3000VA / 3000W Pure Sine Wave Inverter - 60A PWM https://www.takealot.com/lalela-hybrid-inverter-24v-3000va-3000w-pure-sine-wave-inverter-/PLID91301497 People seem to have good things to say. What inverter would you recommend for my needs? Thanks Alex
  11. Do you have one you'd recommend?
  12. What's the smallest battery you can use with this 5k inverter?
  13. Are there any lead acid batteries you guys recommend?
  14. Thanks. That's awesome to know! 1. How easy is it to connect to the DB board? Do you know what that would roughly cost? 2. Does a DB board require a certificate of compliance after you've installed it? If so, what should this cost?
  15. Hi I live in a hot area of the country that get's a lot of sunshine. When the sun shines, we like to use aircons to cool down the house. I don't want to jump full solar yet, but from my research the batteries are rather pricey! Can you use a the Sunsynk 5Kva inverter without a battery, so that when the sun shines, the solar panels can supply the aircon directly? Since when the sun doesn't shine, we're not running the aircons! Later on, I can look at putting in battery storage for night time and load shedding but it's not a priority now.
  16. Hi I'm wanting to run 2 laptops and 2 computer screens and a router in my home office. I just bought the Mecer 2400W inverter. Now trying to decide on batteries. What 12V batteries would you order and where? (I need 2) Is there a difference between the various brands? How long are they likely to last? I hear things from 1 to 4 years, but would prefer someone who's done a small setup before. Or would you go for a Lithium Ion but go for 2 smaller amp hour ones due to the cost! (I don't need much load - see above) Really appreciate the input! Thanks Alex
