  1. Hi, email has been sent... Please follow the SOP.
  2. Hi There, I have sent it to you by email. Please let me know if you have received it.
  3. Great, well done!
  4. Sent you an email with the previous version, please try and let me know if it works...
  5. Sorry, have to add, this only works with windows PC and also at your own risk.
  6. Firmware received from Growatt China (Feb 2022) I used that guide and it worked out that the inverter has to be in Battery standby mode, else it wonโ€™t start the process. i.e. The only thing to be connected to the inverter is the battery. Disconnect Solar and disconnect all loads. There was a step-by-step instruction on elleyhillpower.co.za however their website has been down for more than a week now, not sure why. The file "SOP" gives decent instructions to follow. Installation tool included in the 40.06.rar 40.06.rar Update SOP for SBC5000_20200115(1).pdf
  7. @ccitaly Hi Bud, I have e-mailed the files to you with some additional info. Both bin files included and the Installation tool. Best of Luck
  8. Hi, Thanks. I'm unfortunately in Pretoria.
  9. Thanks, been trying with the local municipality for months, get pushed from pillar to post. Having absolutely no joy...
  10. Hi Power forum Family, What is the process, procedure & laws regarding feeding energy into the grid? Thanks ๐Ÿ˜€
  11. Hi, I received your message, I will email the Firmware to you.
  12. I would suggest you go with the Deye/Sunsynk. After a lot of research on the Growatt, they are quite a few steps behind the likes of Deye/Sunsynk, Victron etc. I still think the growatt is a great inverter and great value for money but it's short of a few features that some of us really want, biggest issues being it's not a proper Hybrid and does not Blend as it should, I would assume if Growatt fixed that in their Firmware it would be a game changer for them.
  13. Hi Power forum Family, What is the process, procedure & laws regarding feeding energy into the grid?
  14. Hi @MikeP, did you get the firmware? If not, I can send it to you. Send me your email address.
  15. Hi, Thanks for this, will definitely keep it in mind. One of the features of the Deye seems similar to this, I will post the video to this message. Seems like you are managing your system well, well done! Sunsynk's are highly rated, I believe the Deye is quite similar, maybe check it out, the Deye is also a lot cheaper. Sorry to hear about the substations, hope you never get affected by it. Soon they will steal the "Sun" then we F#$@*&.
  16. Hi, What Inverter are you using? My main aim is to keep my battery full as a back-up for load shedding. I'm hoping my new purchases (Deye 5kw) will help.
  17. Yes that's exactly it. It's frustration on steroids! "What you and I are wanting is an invertor that can make up the shortfall with grid power for the solar when it dips, and then use the battery for only load shedding." You are spot on, this is exactly what I am trying to achieve. I am moving to the Deye 5kw next week, there are few settings that will allow you to manage your Grid charging. I will give you feedback once it's installed... Wish me luck ๐Ÿคž
  18. Hi, This video will assist you... Hope it helps
  19. Confirmed the order for the Deye 5kw today ๐Ÿ˜€ feeling excited... Thanks
  20. HI Buyeye, When set to SBU, it works as it should, takes power from Solar and if load exceeds, it pulls from the battery. My issue is when on SUB (which I want), it takes from Solar but once the battery is 100% it takes from Grid and about 22w from Solar.
  21. Hi, Thank you. Do you know where to get the firmware from?
  22. Thank you ๐Ÿ˜€
  23. Thank You for your response. Think I'm going for it.
  24. Hi Antonio, Thank you
  25. Hi, Does anyone know which is the latest Firmware for the Growatt 5000es?
