Growatt SPF 5000 ES Error Code 02
Hi everyone. Almost a year later and mine was fixed (Actually few months back). I don't know exactly what "he" did (the one who fixed it), but thankfully it was fixed. I rarely open this website but here I am. After reading the latest replies and comments, and from my understanding of what "he" said, I can say it's due to moisture, dust, malfunctioning NTC cables or sensors, short in some places or rust. Mine was most affected by 2 things. first, it mounting position. Although it was in a "semi closed" area where curtains are placed but that was not enough. Second, the batteries position with respect to the inverter. My batteries was placed under it. This in not the best position since as you all know, the batteries produce some gases while functioning (assuming your using lead-acid batteries). These gases affect the board and/or the sensors over time. From his experience dealing with the "same" problem with many others, it was best to reverse the air flow so that the fans does not suck the gases into the inverter but rather drag the heat outside. Technically, I don't know how this might affect its functionality in the long term, but in my area where it is neither that hot during summer nor that cold during winter, "he" said that that was the best solution to solve my particular problem. IT SOLVED MINE AND ONLY MINE. Warning: This may endanger the inverter if not done by a professional who asses the conditions and environment surrounding the inverter.

Inverter Warnings
Hi @Mak, I wish I knew, but the problem still exists. If anything may help, read my other topic with the title "Error Code 02". More details are written there.

Data Logger
Thanks for the explanation but my point still stands. What I meant was that the collected data using the solar assistant or any type of dongle have a fixed size wherever it is stored locally or in the cloud. So sending, downloading, reading the data, and also sharing them can't possibly take more than their original size. Less is possible depending on what you want. In the end of the day - despite any security, privacy, or internet issues - the data have a maximum of a fixed size and they can't take more.

Growatt SPF 5000 ES Error Code 02
@Pacific Zulu Unfortunately, the problem still exists. After searching for approximately 10 days at that time, I saw that a firmware update may solve the problem, but someone said that it might break the functionality of the inverter if something goes wrong. Another said if it's working don't update. I got the newer firmware but I didn't do it. Around a month ago the error code disappeared the way it appeared, without any logical reason. This time, I found that the utility might sometimes have unbalanced phases and the inverter detects that unbalance and act upon it. It seems that the inverter have some kind of bug in the firmware that prevents it from reading the circumstances correctly. The problem did come again few days ago and nothing I can do to fix it yet.

Data Logger
If it operates in a local mode or sends the data to the internet/cloud, the size of what should be send is the same either way. It may be slightly larger over the internet since the message needs some headers and other stuff depending on which protocol was used to send these data. Anyway, thanks for your reply you and @mzezman which provided me with some info. and data regarding this matter.

Data Logger
Or any data logger for an inverter. A general idea also helps.

Data Logger
Hello Everyone, Has anyone ever recorded or monitored the data usage of the data logger of the growatt inverter? I know it is low and nothing to worry about but recently I have changed the interval from 5 min to 1 min and I want to know and see the difference.

Inverter Warnings
Hi all, Does anyone know why my SPF 5000 ES Growatt inverter suddenly started showing 2 warning messages every day at midnight? The first is "(5009) Grid phase error(Warning)" followed directly with a second one which is "(5011) Over temperature(Warning)". Everything is working properly and no hardware failures or problems. More details are written in the first topic I shared before.

Growatt SPF 5000 ES Error Code 02
Hi All, I have been using the SPF 5000 ES Growatt Inverter for 4 months now and everything was working properly. Few days ago, the inverter displayed the 02 error code out of nowhere. The troubleshooting guide says that it is an over temperature. We let it calm for few hours then restarted but nothing changed. The surrounding environment temperature is between the operable temperatures. In addition to that, we asked a technician to check the inside of the inverter and the NTC cables as the guide says but everything was tight and in place. Any idea why this error code is still appearing knowing that everything is working properly and no hardware problems/failures are present?
