RCT Axpert 5-6 Mk4 Settings and Timing
Is there a simple way to set timing on the Axpert MK4? I purchased the Solar Assistant, which is great for monitoring but I feel in order to get the "most" out of my solar, I am having to set things manually, which is a real pain. I tried the settings in Menu 99 and 100 and in theory they work, but practically they do not really. Currently I switch to SBU at 5am and by 10am when I am producing more solar than I am using, the battery is usually around 50% so it is charged from solar and by 14:30 when the shade hits the panels, the battery is usually fully charged and I switch back to SUB. If I use this little system I have then I generate around 5kwh a day from the solar. Obviously where we have a cloudy day then I change this and usually leave it on SUB for most of the day as I seldom produce more than I use. My Ave load during the day is around 400w. So I want to be able to set this all up with some "AI" in mind, so for example... Automatically Turn on SBU at 5am and SUB at 2pm and if at 10am Solar Power is Below 500w then Switch back to SUB and if Battery is Below 50% at 12:00 then change Charging Source Priority from Solar Only to Solar First then Utility ... Is the above possible without having a degree in computer programming?

Solar Power Output Erratic
Update - I had another 4 Panels installed which did not solve the problem, also had a 5Kw Lithium battery installed and sold the Gel Batteries ... If the Inverter is on SUB then it still does it, but on SBU it does not ... Especially when there is a load ... The new installer explained that if there is not enough "Draw" on the solar, it will do it. So I turn my Inverter to SBU at 5am, by 10am when I have sufficient Sun the Battery is at about 40% and Solar starts Charging the battery and the panels Generate around 1800w and 6A constantly as they charge ... so it all makes sense

Solar Power Output Erratic
Ok Adding to everything Above ... I spoke to another installer and he tells me that the PV Power Reflected by this Inverter is not the Power Produced by the Inverter but rather the "Charging Power" so essential the numbers reflected are indicative of what I am using and not what I am producing Right now I feel like a sick person googling their symptoms after a Stomach ache and all Google tells me is that I am going to die .... My Gut feeling is there is something not right but I am not informed enough to actually know if this is the case.

Solar Power Output Erratic
Hi Sidewinder, the Inverter is an RCT Axpert MK4 5.6k- 48V and the MPPT Voltage Range is 120~430Vdc and the Max. PV Array Open Circuit Voltage is 450 Vdc

Solar Power Output Erratic
Ok, apparently, giving Utility Priority and the fluctuations in the Grid Power was what was buggering it around, I set it to SUB and it seems to be stable now

Solar Power Output Erratic
As per my Installer : "The panels generate an average of 150-160V dc which tells me the panels are fine and connected correctly, If you want to get a second opinion im happy for you to do so" - So he is not even willing to come and look. I will get an outside person out

Solar Power Output Erratic
What should my Ave Energy Production be in a day with the 4 450w Panels in Series ? I am getting on Ave 1.6Kw a day?
-
Solar Power Output Erratic
Ok, so here are the readings for the Past 30 Min with Setting on Grid, so In know the Solar is not being used by the inverter and I made a Video of the Actual inverter readings HERE To me it looks like something is resetting every second Who agrees that I need to get the installer back here?

Voltage with no Wattage on Panels
Bobster, I am using Solar Assistant from https://solar-assistant.io/ Yes I posted yesterday regarding the rapidly fluctuating PV, - Today I have left the setting on "Utility First" to see if the PV fluctuation is related to the usage or maybe an incorrect setting on my side. So right now my PV is not being used anywhere, its under 50w now and while the fluctuations are still there they are in line with Voltage and the panels are not in full Sun yet

Voltage with no Wattage on Panels
Ok, I have seen that the power is increasing as the sun rises, so it all makes sense

Solar Power Output Erratic
Hi clu, as per the installer they were installed in Series, I will monitor again today by leaving the Input on Grid to see if the graph result is not a negative affect of the usage

Voltage with no Wattage on Panels
Ok so here goes what is probably another "stupid" question where I could not find an answer on Google Its early morning and light outside but the sun is not technically up yet, I see the panels are producing voltage but no Current or Amps as per attached image (120v currently), is this because there is technically no sun?

Solar Power Output Erratic
Quentin that makes sense. Tomorrow I will run on Utilities only so I use no solar and let see what the result is

MdF that would be my fist thought too, but no clouds, completely clear and Sunny Day

Solar Power Output Erratic
As you can see by the screenshots, the Volage on the Solar Panels remains Fairley constant, but the Power and Current are extremely erratic, is this normal - We have 4 Canadian 450w installed for less than a week, so this is all still a learning curve for me and its no point in asking the installer as they will tell you that is working perfectly when it actually might not be

RCT Axpert 5-6 Mk4 Output Setting
Awesome thank you. I am ordering another 4 x 100ah Batteries today My ave Load on the inverter is 600w and 12a just for your Info

RCT Axpert 5-6 Mk4 Output Setting
My Settings are currently Float - 54 Back to Grid - 53 Back to Battery 54
-
RCT Axpert 5-6 Mk4 Output Setting
How low is Fairly Low ? This Installer looks like he left everything as Default here, so I am not even sure what the settings should be
-
RCT Axpert 5-6 Mk4 Output Setting
Added to this, the Float Voltage is 54, so am I right in saying that If I set the output to Solar>Bat>Utility and the "Back to Grid" Voltage at 54 it will use Solar and then not switch to battery at all

RCT Axpert 5-6 Mk4 Output Setting
By Way of Introduction I have the following setup installed in the last couple of days and using the WatchPower App RCT Axpert 5-6 Mk4 4 x 450w Solar Panels 4 x 100aH Gell Batteries I am struggling with a couple of things with the first being below OUTPUT SOURCE PRIORITY - When the inverter is in Solar>Bat>Utility what should I set the Back to grid voltage to where I am not going to kill my batteries when there is not enough Solar Power? I want it to use as much solar as possible during the day obviously. When I set it to Solar>Utility>Battery it simply never seems to switch over to Solar (is this because the solar is not strong enough?) The way the installer explained it was that Solar Charges Batter and Battery Powers the system, so in order to make use of Solar you need to set it to Solar>Bat>Utility but the problem is this obviously discharges the battery if Solar is not strong enough.
