  1. To explain again, this is not the sound coming from the inverter. This is a high frequency sound coming from appliances in the house caused by the current coming from the inverter. When I switch over to Eskom, there is no high pitched noise coming from the appliances in the house…
  2. Yes. In fact, the frequency seems to be going through the electrical current of the microphone itself now and the microphone is picking up this frequency.
  3. Hi, Im back again unfortunately. This high frequency noise has come back on my sunsynk inverter despite pressing “low noise mode” on the sunsynk inverter. When I turn back to Eskom, the high pituch noise disappears. It’s only present when I go through my 16kw sunsynk inverter. There are 2 high pitched frequencies one at 15khz and another around around 19khz. I measured these on a condenser microphone. Any suggestions or electricians or electrical engineers that can assist with this problem? Based in Joburg? I’m a sound engineer and recording artist so this is urgent unfortunately
  4. Hi All, I posted last year about an annoying 15khz high pitched sound coming out of the sunsynk inverter. This was also coming out of my appliances and was driving me mad! I wanted to report that this issue has finally been resolved by sunsynk. you need to download the latest update and then get your installer to login to your profile. They then go to “plant list” on the sunsynk platform and click “low noise mode”. your inverter will then turn off for a minute probably with an error F13 (grid mode changed). It will then turn back on and the high pitched noise will disappear. They have effectively used a low pass filter and instead of the frequency being at 15khZ, it’s now at 20kHz which is just above human hearing.

  6. Thanks @system32for the reply. unfortunately the issue is constant and is coming out of the appliances, not just the inverter. I called the sunsynk repair Centre and they said that they are aware of the issue and there are a lot of complaints. However they still do no have a solution and they refuse to take back the units due to this issue under the narrative of “don’t worry we are working on it”. It could unfortunately take months even years… thanks for your recommendation Re: Victron.
  7. Hi, I saw on a few forums a lot of issues with the sunsynk inverters giving off an annoying high pitched frequency. We recently installed the 8kw one… the noise is absolutely terrible. It’s coming out our inverter and also from appliances…my wife and I struggling to sleep it’s so loud (older people may not be able to hear it). I see they have an NRS certification but this makes no sense… After further investigation some bogus Chinese company gave them this certification in Hong Kong… impossible they passed the rigid testing. 1. does anyone have a solution to this? sunsynk South Africa is not taking returns due to this issue. 2. are there any recommendations of high quality inverters that won’t give me this issue? 3. where is the best place to sell this inverter on the second hand market? Installed last week. And what price could I expect?
