I had an installation done a few months ago. My setup consists of 2x Mecer 5kW inverters (paired to work as one) and 2x Dyness BX48100 4.8kWh lithium batteries. I also have a little unit that I plug into the inverter (RIOT), so that I can get a bit of historical data. According to my inverter data, everything is working as it should and I am averaging at about 8kWh per day from the grid (I have a whole lot of panels). I have everything going through my inverter, except the geyser and the oven (which we switch off at the mains due to not using it). Since getting this installation done, I've been paying more than R5000 per month to City of Cape Town for my electricity. At 8kWh per day, I should be paying less than R2000 per month, which is what I always used to pay. Long story short, I expected my power bill to stay the same and just have this battery system as a UPS addition. Is it possible that it's been configured incorrectly and I am drawing too much power to keep the system running?

Thanks @Coloumb! Makes sense to me. I'll configure your numbers when I'm back home from our holiday. I also noticed this after going deeper on the manuals and switched the 2 numbers around. Agreed! I played around with this number and monitored the battery voltage during loadshedding and ended up pushing it down to 45.5 to prevent too early 04 warnings. I have 2 of these Mecer inverters installed (parallel) with 2 of these Dyness batteries. It was a professional installation. The batteries are not connected with any data cables to the inverters, so I assume that the inverters need to derive the charge level of the batteries from the voltage it detects from the batteries. I had another electrician come by who configured the "correct" numbers on the inverter according to the parameters shared in the Dyness manual. Max Charging(Bulk) Voltage: 53.5V Absorption Voltage: 53V Float Voltage: 52.5V Shut Down(cut off) Voltage: 47V Shut Down(cut off) SOC: 20% Restart Voltage: 49V Max Charge Current: 50A*battery QTY Max Discharge Current: 50A*battery QTY I had a look and as far as I can tell for the inverter through its built-in LCD panel, these are the settings that were configured that relates to these numbers: Setting #12 (Back to utility): 47V Setting #13 (Back to battery): 53v Setting #26 (Bulk charging voltage): 52.7v Setting #27 (Float charging volume): 53.5v Setting #29 (Low DC cutout voltage): 47v I am still getting 04 errors and it seems like the battery level according to the LCD panel on the inverter and the indicators on the battery itself (SOC) does not match up. Unfortunately I am struggling to get someone in my area to configure it correctly. I would really appreciate it if someone familiar with these inverters can give me the correct settings that I need to set on the inverter to match these batteries. Thanks in advance!
