uwachs reacted to riogrande75 in FSP 15Kw (Infinisolar) Firmware UpdateIf you've got the update from the manufacturer by providing your serial#, then it should work. Off course there is always some risk - but in this case it's minimized.
Make sure you remove any optional card (modbus,...) for the upgrade and follow the manual strictly.
Just upgraded a 10k this morning, worked like a charm.

He has a different type of geyser than what you are thinking of.
He has a 'Durchlauferhitzer' or instantaneous geyser or tankless water heating - where the water is heated up instantaneously as it passes through the geyser. So no large storage tank of hot water, but just a small device that heats water as it passes through.
Hence the significant power draw required. A small unit for a handwash basin is usually around 3kW and larger ones for showers anywhere between 11kW and 33kW

If you are getting peaks of 8kW the infiniSolar will trip. Think of the infiniSolar in this way. It's a 15kW 3 phase inverter. It's 5kW per phase. When the Grid is present & depending on your Mode of operation, if you exceed 5kW on any phase the inverter will not trip power but will Bypass power & you will not receive any error.
When the grid is gone & you get a peak of 8kW or as you mention 25kW the inverter will not bypass iit will trip & give you these warnings.
This above ability to not phase share of even bypass is a known inherent problem with the infiniSolar machine. I will say this again. Your settings are all wrong. To avoid this issue get the Inverter out of Backup Mode because on this mode without PV the inverter will not Bypass & will trip the load. The best mode is Grid Tie with backup Ii.
There is something called a Grid Relay. This relay is what controls the through put Bypass. Certain modes enable it & certain modes disable it. What I can say is this: your backup mode is going to constantly do this & it is not a problem with the inverter or the Pylontechs. This is is the normal operation of the infiniSolar. Get your modes & settings right. You HS-PAL on the main display is also indicating that the inverter is setup as Master Parallel unit. Which it clearly is not. Study the manual & settings. There is nothing wrong with this inverter. It's a user interface problem here.
