  1. Is it 3k or 3k+ inverter? The fw of this model is different.
  2. Yes, fw-update is currently supported via RS232 port only. No shutdown needed, simply eject the card from the options slot for the update as the continous commands from this cards seem to slow down the cpu during the update process. I recall that I needed 45 mins. for the update once with a modbus card inserted, while it usually takes only about 10mins.
  3. Hard to say for sure, if your device is genuine or not. Anyhow the "clones" from other factories than voltronic all run same fw. Cloners don't spend time (=money) in developing their own fw. The risk is quite low on the old devices like yours, as you can flash other fw over and over again, even if a fw comes up with errors. I made my own scripts for reading data, controlling functions (smartmeter, bms). If you "speak" some php check it out: infinipoll10k
  4. No, don't have new fw for the snmp card. It's in fact very uncommon. Even I collected many fw files for the infinisolar inverters over the years, I don't have your specific version. Closest is dated 2017/03/20. I dont know your setup (smartmeter, etc.) so it's hard to say what you need to connect the bms. What I can say, you need extra hw (e.g. dual-modbus-box, bms-card) or do it in software (like I do).
  5. This was obviously a clone. There are lot's of clones out there. If you send me a photo of your type shield via pm, I'd try to verify if your inverter seems to be genuine. Anyhow, setting the serial number is not a big deal.
  6. You can take firmware dated 2020/04/02 from my post above - this is the latest firmware available for your device. Whatfor are you using SNMP card?
  7. I'm afraid this will not work with this tool. You could try to a string that looks like this to your inverter: ^S003ID2096161605100123000000<CRC> Command Length Serial Checksum Send me you full serial via PM, I'll calculate the correct CRC for you. Never tried changing serial this way, but I don't have any other idea to fix this.
  8. Connect your PC to the inverter with a RS232 cable. Then start communication tool, choose correct COM port, 2400 baud. Set everything like postet in the picture, except add your real serial# from type shield of your inverter. Then click "Send" to send it to inverter. (dont forget to check "Use CRC"). This will issue a command to the inverter which (hopefully) changes the serial# from 000000 to your real one.
  9. Capture debug logs - maybe we can find the reason. Did you try to set serial with the tool and the ^S003ID command?
  10. I'd try that with 2020-04 firmware. Maybe just the configuration parameters in flash are f***ed up and production works after setting it up newly.
  11. Try to set it up as "GridTieWithBackupII" and Standard VDE4105. Choose "Restore to the defaults". Wait for 5 minutes. Does it change anything? Pls. post a pic of the display together with the logs from solarpower.
  12. This should be ok. You can also try 1.16SP6 where I have good experience with this fw versions. But I guess you have again ERROR 17 or 18 when running 20170302 fw (see debug log, USB-SEC-CFS). This will not let you store anything. Imho device is not fully up anyway (fw mismatch between master and slave cpu). So I'm afraid you have to stuck with 20160922 fw. Regarding serial I found this: So you could give that command a try via RS232 port and the communication tool from SolarPower plugins directory:
  13. What SolarPower version do you have in use?
  14. Well, maybe you can't jump directly to latest FW from your old 2016 firmware. As you are experienced enough in fw up/downgrade now , you could try to upgrade first to 20170320. Set up everything with SolarPower again and check if it's working. If ok, you can upgrade to 2020-04-02 firmware, that includes BMS support. I have an older non-parallel 10k (build 2015) that speaks to my BMS, running a fw from 2018.
