Hello there.
I was wondering if someone could advise on the performance of my Mecer Axpert SOL-I-AX-3VP (Axpert VP 3000 24) inverter with my new Pylontech UP2500 lithium battery. I think it's a fairly "old" model so doesn't have a lithium setting or communication link with the battery so I have to set a float voltage on it. I'm only running power input from utility as it's a load shedding backup so it only charges up to the float voltage and tries to keep it there.
Now as far as I've gathered from this forum lithium doesn't need float charge? I've provided a 30 second gif of the battery SOC indicators flashing whereby the conditions are changing through what seems like 4 different states. This goes on constantly even hours after it should be fully charged already.
My question is, is this fine for the battery or might it cause unnecessary damage to the battery in the long run as it seems the inverter is constantly charging and discharging the battery with float charging? It happens both if i set the bulk and float voltage the same or apart.
Thanks in advance
Emile
