  1. Yesterday the wife overloaded the electrics and blew a fuse between the incoming mains and the electric meter. This sent my Sunsynk 16kw invertor quite mad, it kept periodically turning on and off. Once the electric company replaced the fuse, it seemed to settle down, but the batteries which had been charged to 90% now seem to be stuck at that and not discharging. I have asked the installer, who fobbed me off as they were going on a Xmas P**s up. The batteries have all green lights, but the power light is flashing on and off on both. The app shows a charge going to the batteries from the grid, despite me just disabling it. I post some photos of the invertor screens (I already noticed it was set up as an 8kw not a 16kw).
  2. Hi Greenfields, thank you for your reply. I tried turning off the mains this morning at 8:45 and everything electric went off, which seems to say the battery was empty. I suspected that the batteries were not charging - can you tell where you get the information of SOC at 0% from so 8 can go back to the installer?
  3. Hi mzezman Thanks for replying -I'm located in the North West of England near Wigan, so the weather has been unsurprisingly quite cloudy since install! I really don't know if I am reading the app right, but the app always shows the battery icon at 32% (the wattage varies below it). I have attached graph data for the last three days - is there a way to present it differently?

  6. Hi all! I had a 7.6kWp solar PV system, with 1 x Sunsynk 16kW inverter and 2 x 5.12kW Sunsynk batteries. On the roof there are 19 JA 405 solar panels. I have the Sunsynk app, which frankly baffles me, but appears to be suggesting that I am exporting to the grid (see photo), despite me not having a smart meter! I have tried speaking to the installer a few times and they l reassures me they have jiggled with it (remotely), but I am not convinced. I really struggle with what this app is telling me, but it does appear to tell me it is still exporting to the grid and the battery never goes above 32%? Quite simply, I want any pv generated to first serve current load demand. Any left over, I want to charge the batteries as much as I can - under no circumstances do I want to charge the batteries from the grid untill I am on a better tariff. I am down for a smart meter installation (been waiting 2 months), but once all that is done, I would be happy to export any excess to the grid. Basically, could some wise person have a look at screen shots of my inverter and tell me if it is set up to reflect the above?
