  1. Currently having a system installed - speak to charles at complete office solutions - they have a 5kw with eleven kwh and (i think 8 panels) for R154k.
  2. I have a synsynk 8kw installed last week. No Solar panels. For backup for load shedding (panels will be added at some point in future. So, the situations is as follows: 1. The CT value is a negative. 2. After investigation i found that the ct coil is installed inside the inverter just infornt of the grid connector I am meeting with the installer tomorrow to discuss. This is obviously not correct and i need him to rectify. Can you please point me to the literature where it specifically states that these 2 items are incorrect. (Note that i have no clue about electrical work) The last point is that the db is about 15m in cable lenght away from inverter. Is this length ok for the CT to be installed in the DB?
  3. I recently had a Kodak 6.2 with Revov 11.2Kwh Batteries installed. I am situated in a rural area and have an Eskom supply capped at 20Amp. My priority is set to SUB. Due to extended load shedding etc the priority setting of SBU is not feasible. This means that whenever the load is more than the solar can provide, (or at night), the balance is picked up by the eskom supply. If this load drawn from eskom exceeds the 20 Amp, eskom trips (inside the prepaid meter) This only occurs on peak draws - and with enough continuous trips eskom will shut down for an hour. So the question is, is there a setting that can limit the load drawn from utility (not the charge rate)? I have the charge rate from utility already down to 10 Amps. In other words, Max comes from the Solar, Utility provides upto a certain Amp, and if needs be then the battery will pick up the balance.
