  1. Guys I came across my brother in law's geyser. The cold pipe runs under the tubes to the outlet of how mine is plumbed. The hot pipe on mine is the outlet of his going back into his geyser. I will contact the plumber this week. What's your guys thoughts?
  2. I don't think they used any thermal paste as I was present on site of the day they installed? Is this an important effect to do ?
  3. Is it possible that the manifold is the wrong way around as hot rises.

  5. Hello Guys. This forum is my last resort. Gentlemen a while ago our town received some serious hail and we had to get insurance to come replace the Evacuated Tube and whole manifold for the tubes as it was quite aged as I understand. The guys came out and replaced the manifold and tubes, but since the replacement the system doesn't get as hot as what it did in my personal opinion, I have had to put my solar geyser on every night since winter started as we have had some nice days. When I climb on the roof to check the system the inlet to the manifold is cooking hot but the outlet is luke warm (See attached pictures). Please if anyone can assist in answering the following. 1) Is it possible that the manifold is not working properly ? 2) Why is the outlet pipe back into the geyser not getting as hot as the inlet pipe ? 3) Should I get the insurance or plumber to replace the manifold ? 4) Is it possible that the Thermosyphon system is not working properly ? The temperatures in winter are lower I understand that completely, but I have a true north facing geyser and it does get quite hot up there. I cannot hold my hand on the inlet pipe for long else I will burn. Is the system not working properly ? Please see attached pictures. As of this post right now it has been 21'C today. Pure Sun.

  7. Hi Gents. I have a very interesting question for you today. Alright so I have a 3kw 24v inverter with a 24v lithium 2.4kw battery. Today I noticed something interesting any advice would be appreciated. I have attached two pictures one from December the 8th and one from today February the 10th. The SOC on my battery is something that worries me. On Dec 8th my battery SOC is 36% at 26.1V at a 7Amp DC Draw. On Feb 10th my battery SOC is 56% at 26V at 19Amp DC Draw. What is your opinion on this uneasy feeling. Is it the load that had changed the SOC making the Voltage drop faster ? Is it the battery should I send it back to supplier. Cell voltages at 3258mV at 56% SOC. I do apologize if images are bad quality.

  10. Absolutely no way of the 1000W in the evening I use worst case for when I get the system up nicely with decent battery capability. Right now evening running is at 380W when in load shedding. I am mainly trying to achieve free running in the day Scorp with the two panels. With the 400W actual draw day to day with my lady using her pc for work I think the two panels will do great. My final question is the battery is a 2.4kW am I correct in saying that is 2400Wh which then if we look at what we have available 4500wh will charge the battery full then start pushing straight into the house for my Mrs to run free in the day ?
  11. Morning Scorp007. Thanks again for getting back to me. I am wanting to go for the larger panel as I will upgrade to a 5kW inverter in time. So the 550W panels are a must for me. I am also tight on roof space I don't have space for many panels on my north facing roof side. Load during the day is just home usage at less than 600W in the day at most with the Pcs running and the two fridges. Load during the night yes we will be using power but at roughly 1kW between the gaming Pcs and TV's. I will get another battery later this year.

  13. Do you think 4 of these panels are sufficient for the battery and running in the day ? UPS-INV-3KVA-VP-LQ.pdf
  14. Afternoon Forum. I am looking for some advice regarding putting some panels on my roof. I currently have a 3kW system installed at home. My inverter specs are as follows I have a 2.5Kw lithium 24V battery currently. Solar Charger Mode: Rated Current: 50A System Voltage: 24VDC SCC VOLTAGE 30V - 72V DC Operating Voltage Range: 30-32Vdc Max. Solar Voltage (VOC): 80VDC I am planning on putting 4x 550W panels on the roof and then putting them in parallel. What are your thoughts some advice would be greatly appreciated
