Setting up a Soltaro Li Battery with Sunsynk 8KW Inverter
Great thanks. I have tried this now and will see how it goes.

Setting up a Soltaro Li Battery with Sunsynk 8KW Inverter
I got in touch with Rubicon today, who as far as I know, were the original suppliers. They also confirmed that it has a BMS, but that it is not compatible with Deye/SunSynk. I am not sure if changing the pinout will help with this. To be honest I don't know that much about this topic at all. I mailed the Soltaro email you shared 3-4 time over the last two weeks with no luck. My main question was to try get the manual/pinout map for this battery from them.

Setting up a Soltaro Li Battery with Sunsynk 8KW Inverter
We recently had a solar installation done at my primary residence. I was lucky enough to be given a relatively nice Li battery by my father in law as the were upgrading their system. The problem is, that none of the installers that have come by, have been able to configure the battery properly. As an inverter, I have the Sunsynk 8KW Hybrid and about 12 panels on the roof. Here are a few bullet points of information: The battery apparently does not have a BMS. So connecting to it as Lithium using Canbus does not work I cannot find a manual for this specific battery as Soltaro does not make the exact model anymore and they are non responsive via email The general consensus has been that we need to connect to the battery using the AVG Voltage setting on the Sunsynk If I switch the system on, it powers my entire house, as long as the sun shines i.e. it gets all power from the panels Yesterday I also noticed that the LED on the battery changed from flashing orange to being solid blue. I am assuming this means that the battery was fully charged. At this point it was consistently around 54V. When the sun disappeared, the battery started flashing orange after a few minutes and at 47.5V, the inverter started beeping I made contact with one of the installers, who said that they did not change any of the defaults, and won't be able to come back to take a look at it soon. So I thought I'd give PowerForum a shot. Can anybody help me with setting the proper values for the battery specs in the last picture?

Completing my solar installation
Hey everyone. I'm new to this forum but I've already learnt a lot! I find myself in a very precarious situation. We've had a solar installation for almost a year now, but have not been able to switch it on. The main cause of this is using a fraudulent installer/company that I won't get into now as that is not the reason for this post. Like I mentioned, our system is set up. We have 12 panels on the roof. A LuxPower SNA 5000 WPV inverter and Soltaro Lithium battery. Everything is connected. In fact the earlier mentioned installer even switched the system on to test that it's working. Now why have we not been able to make use of it you might ask? A few reasons: The installer was not familiar with Luxpower and did not know how to connect the inverter to our battery. He set it to Lead Acid instead and the battery discharged very quickly during load shedding. The system caused our prepaid meter to error out, and thus I enabled it completely. The City of Cape Town needed to come reactivate my power afterwards. The installer assured me that they took care of the SSEG & COC before me switching it on, which I only found out to be untrue afterwards. To the last point: Our system is not registered with the City of CT yet and I would like to get that done before switching it back on. The only problem is, I don't know how to complete the application forms/SSEG details etc. So I am looking for some advice. What would be the best way forward? I'm thinking that a qualified electrician that knows something about the Luxpower inverter range should be able to help me, but I am unsure where to find someone like this. Do I have any other options?
