And here is what happens in daytime. Solar (green) charged it to 100%. Thereafter battery is used to make up shortfall in solar power every now and again. As you can see the PV production is closely tracking the load (red) which indicates it has spare PV power available between the load spikes, yet it is not used to charge the battery.
Here is an example of what happens. Battery at 100%, load shedding occurs taking battery slowly down to 92%, then mains returns (yellow) and battery does not charge to 100% eventhough it is specifically configured to do so.
I have the same issue with 5kW Sunsynk and 10kWh Volta. The BMS appears to not accept charge when the battery discharges slowly from 99%. So even with config set to 100% SOC and available solar and mains, it does not charge. When it does charge is when it is doing rapid recharge from say 60% with 4kW solar input power. Then it gets to 100% (or 99%). Comms cable is working fine and all battery parameters are being reported.
