2x11kw Mecer inverters
That’s makes sense, do you know if it’s possible to add a timer to the system?

2x11kw Mecer inverters
That is correct I have it set to snu, solar and utility charge, but it will not charge via utility. I know I can’t have it all but would like to use solar to help power the loads but also on cloudy days would like the utility to help get the batteries full, so that when loadshedding happens my batteries are able to last the duration. but it seems like that is not possible.

2x11kw Mecer inverters
Wow! Now I know how little I know. I wish I understood what you guys are saying. from my limited knowledge what you are saying is that I have to run on USB even though I have the charge source on solar and utility? That’s not great as we not going to get much savings as it will prioritize utility even when there is solar, or will it utilize the solar being made as well as the utility ?

2x11kw Mecer inverters
Ya it’s confusing as on the charge source priority SNU it says utility and solar will charge the batteries simultaneously ,but the batteries will not charge unless either the solar disappears or the solar is more than the load. Frustrating

2x11kw Mecer inverters
Sorry perhaps I should have phrased it better, the problem is that it is not charging the battery unless there is excess solar, surely the utility should charge the battery and not only solar?

2x11kw Mecer inverters
Hi guys we have just installed 2x Mecer Sol-I-AX-11M inverters. each inverter has a 10.2kwh LV Topsun battery. Each inverter is connected 2 two strings of 5 Ja solar 540w panels facing North. My issue is the max the panels give out is 3500w sometimes a little more, so it works fine most of the time, but if I’ve had loadshedding at say 8 in the morning and the batteries have drained to say 50% unless I have excess solar power the batteries will not charge. I have the battery charge priority set on Solar and utility and the output priority on Solar Utility Battery. I can get it to charge off utility by putting off the solar or setting it to Utility Solar Battery but I would rather not use that setting. please see attached screenshots of what I’m experiencing and hope someone can help me. thanks I’m advance.

External charge controller
Hi all. I have an Axpert type 3kva inverter . Apparently I can only connect up to 1200w of solar into my pwm charge controller. I’ve recently got some good luck and got 6x 540w 48v solar panels and have connected 2 in parallel, this doesn’t work very well for me and would like to upgrade the charge controller. I will be upgrading my system in the next 6 months when I renovate my house so I’m looking for a solution for now. Is it possible to put a new charge controller into my inverter that can take all my panels or maybe an external charge controller that can still communicate with my inverter as it currently does. pwm or mppt ? Thanks guys.

Hi guys, New to this forum and hope you clever guys can help. I bought a 3kva "Axpert type " inverter off takealot in 2020 with 2 x 200AH gel batteries which are connected in paralell to give 24v. This has worked great and powers my essential loads which is a chest freezer , bar fridge, single door fridge and a whole lot of lights and other odds and ends, and my normal draw is between 450-650w at any given time. Last week I bought 2 x 540w JA solar panels and installed those on my roof, this works well in the day when there is sun, my settings are on solar priority (SOL) and for charge on solar and utility (snu) My revert back to utility is set to 25V to try not drain my batteries too much so as to prolong their life. My problem is at about 5-30 when the sun comes up the inverter senses voltage and tries to run off the solar, however there is not enough current to charge the batteries, so what happens is the inverter constantly changes to solar then the battery doesnt charge and it goes to utility until round 10o clock when there is enough sun. Is there a way to set the inverter to only accept at a certain current not voltage , or failing that can I install a current sensing relay to only allow current at like say 10amps? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
