Same problem on 5kw Inverter, exactly 18 months old.
Inverter screen went white (and no response on any buttons pressed on the inverter), data logger LED's both went out at the same time. Was able to reset the screen so that's working again, but since then, data logger dead. Unplugged it and plugged it back in, still nothing. Thinking of taking the data logger to a different premises with an 8kw inverter, just to see if the data logger works, but suspect that the fault is on the inverter side.
Really wouldn't want to restore factory settings, but if I know that is a solution, then would do it. Has anyone had success in resolving this issue?
