  1. Hi, we have a situation where we installed a Luxpower Sna 5000 with a volta battery when we had bad loadshedding in South Africa. We had a situation where we decided to switch our DB from 45amps to 30 amps as per Oudtshoorn's crazy prices and when they came the person realized they have been billing us wrong. We where charged for a 45 amp but the DB can only take 30 amps so it would revert to 30 amps anyways but they charged us so they refunded us through credit. Anyway since then our electricity went from R1400 to R3000 a month and with no loadshedding the Lux system is barely used. I check the battery and it does still discarge so I am wondering if it's another fault, munispality fault or the inverter settings. Can someone please help with the correct settings from experience concerning DOD , voltages, SOC etc. I don't have panels yet and would like to protect the battery while figuring out the problem. Thank you in advance for any help and expertise . 🙏
  2. Hi i'm looking for some expert advice for settings for my Luxpower sna5000 5kw Volta system. It's a 2 part question so any info advice would be great. The installer set the system and told me something about setting the discharge to a lower amp to keep you batteries healthy. Can someone please verify this or if I understood him correctly. The second question is it seems that the inverter seems revert it's settings from the ones he set. I think he is tired of me asking him questions so it would be optimal for me to be able to do it myself...which in turn empowers me.
  3. Hi sorry to bother everybody. With the loadshedding a person is starved for entertertainment in the dark damp recesses of the night. I own a Lux power sna 5000 and 1 Volta battery. With the switchover when loadshedding starts everything is normal nothing trips except my ps4. I have 2 questions 1. Why is this happening since the tv stays on and 2 am I doing damage to the ps4 or the inverter. Thanks.
  4. Thanks for the help. I will give it a try. 😅 yes Volta1 5kwh...was typing in a rush yhis morning 🤣
  5. Hi people. Total noob here. I have someone install a Luxpower 5kw inverter with a volta 1 5kw lipo4 battery. They have an electrician come and they set the settings and then then the owner of the company came and he did settings, but now the battery is being used when there is no loadshedding. Im tired of trying to get the owner of the company here and hoping that his settings are correct. Can someone please help me set this thing so that it keeps the battery at 100% when there is no loadshedding and uses the battery only then. I can do the settings through the app. I think it's got to do with SOC % and on grid % and discharge(what does this mean?) Settings. At the moment I have no solar panels but i will add 12 canadian 350w in the future but it is still on the persons roof that is waiting for their new panels. Thanks in advance.
