Hi 2 additional examples attached - Panels have no shade at all that can fall across them. 21st July, loadshedding 10am - midday 50% at start of loadshedding, 37% at end of loadshedding - 25th July loadshedding 8am - 10am - 42% at start and 37% at end - lower drain, but lower demand as well.

thank you., i suppose over the entire 2 hour period, i did not expect the drain to be as high as 12 - 16%, that is over 2KW of battery power, when over the same period my production was climbing ? at some point he drain should have stopped? maybe my expectations are not aligned!

attached is the graph -. loadshedding was between 10am & middayish! batteries were at 50% at 10am, but drained down to 36% during loadshedding. this was the most extreme example. Same has happened 4 times since, with differing battery drains, but always same MO - production higher than consumption. I can post other examples. thanks

Hi i have heavily invested in 2 x 12KW Deye hybrid inverters, 21 panels ( no north facing roof ) and 2 x 10Kw Sunsynk batteries. System was installed a couple months ago and performing reasonably well, especially for Cape Town. my problem is when we have full sun, generating more than required load, as soon as we have load shedding batteries drain, not by much, but noticeable, especially when they should actually be charging, or at very least standstill. example: solar production 5.4kw, load 3.2kw, leaving excess 2Kw is, that should continue to charge batteries. When not loadshedding, this is the case and batteries charge with the excess, during loadshedding there will be a drain, between 2% and 10% of battery. I raised this with the company that installed the system and they have no answers, nearly 3 weeks after raising this i have sent them examples, graphs and stats from the system to support my observations - no solution offered! the only way i can stop this happening is to reduce my load, which is ludicrous. thanks for all help!
