Hello helpful people,
I'm very new here, but having trouble connecting my battery to my inverter and have tried everything I know of to get it done. Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
The inverter is an ECCO 5.5kW (the non parallel version, which I think is just one of the voltronics rebranded ones) https://solarwarehousesa.com/products/hybrid-inverter-48v-5-5-kva-5500w-mppt-100a-inverter-pure-sine-wave-ecco-wifi?_pos=8&_sid=6363d9f2b&_ss=r
The battery is a SVOLT 48V 5.09kWh: https://solarwarehousesa.com/products/svolt-51-2v-106ah-5-42-kwh-a-grade-wall-mount-lithium-battery
The Inverter has a RS485 and RS232 connector (which is connected to the wifi module), and the Battery has RS485A, RS232, CAN and 2xRS485B ports.
I've tried every combination of the RS485 on the inverter to the battery ports, and even wired a cable to the RS485A and B ports (pins 1&8 went to RS485B port and 2&7 to the RS485A port, to the RS485 port on the inverter) and still no luck. I've tried the Li2 (PYLONTECH) and Li4 modes with all the combinations and I still just get error 19 - no connection to BMS. The cable was a bit of an abomination, but I continuity tested the pinout and it was working as spec'd.
Am I doing something wrong, can the inverter just not communicate with the battery, or is the battery the issue? I've scoured the manuals for both the battery and the inverter, but they aren't that much help. It should just work (TM).
The inverter runs fine with the User mode setting the Charge voltage at 54.0V and float at 51.0V (not sure if these are even 100% right), but I'd prefer if I can get the BMS properly set up.
As far as I understand, the protocols are all pretty standard so I'm not sure what the issue is. Anyone with some experience in this that can give some help? Thanks in advance
