You know what... after have agreed to receive a new cable for further tests, I watched those videos I found around that are using the same/similar BMS, and I noticed a difference in the address settings, despite they told me to leave it with addr1 (first dip switch ON), looking at those videos and at the documentation of that BMS, for a single battery usage the address should have been 0 (all the dip switches to OFF) as 1 (and others...) are reserved for parallel usage. So I reported this finding to the vendor asking if that could be the issue.. they said to wait for the new cable. But since I'm one of those persons who likes to experiment, I didn't meant to wait and flipped the switch, reset the BMS... and wow, it did connect after few seconds.
So it wasn't the cable, it wasn't the protocol compatibility, it was just a wrong settings. I'm so sorry to have wasted your time, without the proper documentation it was hard to figure. Anyway, now I'm happy to have the battery communicating with the inverter, I can read the real SOC, set the % of charge/discharge and all the stuff!
    Hurra.
