Firmware - Growatt 5000es
Good morning all, Can you please assist with the following matter. My setup is as follow: 2 x Growatt SPF 5000 ES inverters in Parallel 3 x Hubble AM-2 8 x Canadian Solar 550 Watt Solar Panels. My problem is that the old inverter constantly keeps disconnecting from the Solar Assistant and giving through false information. There is also instances where the “old” inverter switches automatically over to “Grid Mode” while the new one remains on SBU. When all this happens, the Solar Assistant must be rebooted in order to try resolve this issue, but sometimes take several attempts. The old inverter is also not registering the same as the new one and sometimes it is picked up by the Solar assistant unit as “Unnamed Device/Unknown Device. Please see attached file with further explanation and pictures. Any help to resolve this issue will be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Solar Assistant Issues.pdf

My old (1st) inverter is running FW: Slave Inverter My new (2nd) Inverter is running FW: Host Inverter My problem is that the old inverter constantly keeps disconnecting from the Solar Assistant and giving through false information: There is also instances where the “old” inverter switches automatically over to “Grid Mode” while the new one remains on SBU: It also gives me CRC error: When all this happens, the Solar Assistant must be rebooted in order to try resolve this issue, but sometimes take several attempts. The old inverter is also not registering the same as the new one and sometimes it is picked up by the Solar assistant unit as “Unnamed Device/Unknown Device. I have a friend with exactly the same setup and both his Growatt inverters is reading as “CP2102N USB to UART Bridge Controller” and he does not have the issues I’m having. I have exchanged all communication cables (USB) with new ones twice, but the problem remains. Could this possibly be rectified with a software update on the Solar Assistant Unit, or is this perhaps a faulty Solar Assistant unit? Is it possible that the different FW of the inverters might be the issue? Any help to resolve this matter will be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
