Solved: Pylontech Batteryview in Win11 - Error "There is no Unicode byte order mark. Cannot switch to Unicode"
Good news, problem solved! I found a newer version of Batteryvew, 3.0.29, this version worked on Win11 without giving the error. I did directly a back-2-back test with old 3.0.28, which still doesn't work, so it's not related to any region setting in my case etc. Kind regards

Solved: Pylontech Batteryview in Win11 - Error "There is no Unicode byte order mark. Cannot switch to Unicode"
Just for the record, did this before my posting, the error other threads is different and the suggested solution was to switch language/region settings to US-English. I did this before i posted the question, as it doesn't worked here But anyway, this, i will try the other suggestions

Solved: Pylontech Batteryview in Win11 - Error "There is no Unicode byte order mark. Cannot switch to Unicode"
Hello, just tried the first time Batteryview 3.0.28" on a Win11 System, language & region set to english. It started, but then after starting the connection, choosing the right port, i got the above message / below picture. Is it because of Win11 (is it working for someone) or missing some software ? Any ideas? Thxs a lot! P.S. Connection/Cable in general is working with other programs, like MultiSIBcontrol
