Connecting Advice
Hi, so i have a question about panels and connecting them. I have attached a pic of my inverter specs. I have 4 Canadian 550W mono panels that i connected in 2 strings. 2 panels in series then all 4 in parallel into combiner. My question is, i have 2 JA 460W mono panels lying in storage and wondered if i could add them to maybe get more power in the late afternoon. AI suggested i should just add them in a 3rd string but the calculation seemed off.. coz i know the 460's would drag the 550's down to output like a 460. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Max pv amp input
Thanx for the reply, but now i am confused.. So there would be no issue if 30A is coming in from the panels?

Max pv amp input
Hi, i was looking at more reliable and affordable upgrades on my inverter, so i looked at the 5kva luxpower and the 6kva growatt, i noticed there is a max pv amp input for the mppt that ranged from 13a to 16a depending on the inverter. So i tried to check what is the rating on mine but can't seem to find anything, is there someone here with the same inverter or perhaps know the specs? Thanx in advance.

Panel opinions/advice
Wow! Fast and on point. Thank you for that answer. Now i know for sure that the 3S2P connection is best. Someone told me to use inline fuses between the panels in series. Is that really necessary? I have a (4 in 1 out) combiner box with fuses and surge protector

Panel opinions/advice
Hi, i need some opinions on a pv array. I am using a 48v system and i have six 270W panels that produce an average of 30volts & 7amps on avarage per panel. Now the question i have is what is the best way to connect them? Do i connect them 2, 2, 2 in series to make 60volts and 21amps Or should I connect 3, 3 to make 90volts and 14amps? Obviously this is not a constant output, but i guess the people who would answer me already know that. Thanx in advance.
