  1. I have the same problem. The H5 power depot is no longer available and there are apparently no other compatible batteries that can be added. I have been wanting to expand my storage from 4.8kWh. The Depot apparently contains 2 x 2.4 kWh B4850 battery modules in the housing and the housing seems to only be a waterproof housing with isolator and possibly some BMS components. I queried this with DYNESS china and their reply is below: "Dear Value Customer As for this module, it seems that it is no longer sold in the South African market, but you can contact CNBM, maybe they still have stock. There is another way, if you do not have the need to waterproof, you can take the internal B4850 out and use it. " I am not sure if the B4850 battery module is available in SA - old technology? Did find one at gasolar.co.za but need to see if available. Hope this may help someone.
  2. Hello,I have a Dyness 4.8kWh Lithium-ion Battery Power Depot 0.5c paired with an 8kW Deye inverter. Installed in 2021 before I knew anything about Li-ion batteries. It quickly became clear that 0.5c battery was poorly matched with the 8kW inverter. The battery can only supply 2.4 kW energy so 8kW inverter is overkill. I considered adding additional batteries but the Dyness 4.8kWh Lithium-ion Battery Power Depot has not been available and can't be paired with other batteries I am told. Dyness suggests that there are 2 x 2.4 kWh B4850 modules in the housing which is essentially a waterproof case ? Can anyone advise if it would be worth looking for additional B4850 modules to add to the existing or if it is better to start from scratch with newer batteries - 10kWh 1c? Is there anyone who may be in a similar position with a Dyness 4.8kWh Lithium-ion Battery Power Depot that may be interested in buying this battery to add to their system? Thanks Peter
