Sunsynk Essential Loads/Load energy usage incorrect.
Actually, (my 3.6kW) friend said that he does have an immersion heater (geyser) wired to his Aux output and has the inverter setup to supply excess solar to this. The screenshot shown above is actually when the inverter was supplying power to his 3kW water heater, supplying Home (non essential) loads and exporting the remainder of the solar to the grid. Still doesn't explain why the UPS output is showing 3697W... Has anyone else noticed these discrepancies before and have a simple explanation for them? I've tried Sunsynk Connect "tech support" via their in-app chat but just got recommended to go back to my installer and ask them.

Sunsynk Essential Loads/Load energy usage incorrect.
I have a Sunsynk 8k ECCO inverter I have friends who also have Sunsynk ECCO inverters (1 also has an 8k the other a 3.6k) We all have the latest firmware but all have the same issue: When there is no physical loads attached to the "Load", "Essential loads", "UPS" (or whatever else Sunsynk might refer to it as!) terminals on the inverter the inverter's "live" power flow diagram shows Watts being used by these terminals? In the case of the two 8k inverters they don't even show the same Watt figure. Mine is around 100W whilst the other is reading 370W! The 3.6k inverter reads about 70. These values do change though dependent on what the inverter is doing and can sometimes be really high 3697W recorded on one occasion! and can be negative. When I put my 10W load (my roller blind garage door controller) on the "Load" circuit, or indeed slap a 2kW heater load on it it does show those loads correctly but there is also this arbitrary ”Other" +ve/-ve load added to it!? This readout makes no sense at all to me and I can't find anyone else mentioning it on a forum... Am I (are we) missing something here? 🤔 The attached pic is from the 3.6kW inverter (no loads in circuit on the "Load" terminals) showing a massive amount of Watts purportedly being used by an open circuit???

Deye / Sunsynk / etc ... Activate battery ?
So taking all of the above as read and understood. Should the Activate battery settings be ON or OFF under normal operating conditions i.e. daily charge to 100% discharge to 20% in a grid tied scenario? The Sunsynk mentions of this setting are typically incomplete and only say to switch ON to help recover a fully depleted (shutdown) battery or to switch ON when installing a battery for the first time. They never mention when to switch it OFF. Presumably there is a scenario when it should be switched OFF (perhaps because having it switched on when not needed might affect 'normal' charging/discharging activities?) otherwise the functionality that this option provides would just be a default function of the inverter/BMS firmware?
