@frivan thanks for reply, so we can try and flip the CT maybe that can work? I know my Deye inverter can be switched to zero export to load instead of CT. I am not sure if the Sungrow inverter has this option but we can check.

Hi All *Please note I am not a solar expert but have a solar system of my own so I know a thing or two I am posting on behalf of my neighbour, who just had his Solar system installed today and is experiencing an issue. The system consists of the following: SUNGROW 8KW 1P HYBRID SUNGROW 12.8KWH BATTERY 8x CANADIAN SOLAR 144 CELL 590 N TYPE MONOCRYSTALINE https://imgur.com/a/Zre2TwX The problem is when the inverter tries to connect to the grid, it immediately causes the prepaid meter to trip and does not connect to the grid. The system is essentially running permanently in back up mode. The prepaid meter is a "Conlog BEC23" The potential problem I noticed is that it looks like the CT is installed in the wrong place see below: https://imgur.com/ozH1UaA https://imgur.com/aicrGuM The installer installed the CT clamp around the "220V INV SUPPLY 1 breaker" Live wire. My First question is should this CT clamp not be installed on the live wire coming from the prepaid meter which is located in the kitchen? The clamp is currently installed in this breaker box next to the inverter. My 2nd question is what even is 220V INV SUPPLY 1 breaker for? We tried turning it on and off and nothing happens, the only breakers that do something is the "utility supply breaker" which is Eskom power and "220V Inv Return 1" which is power supplied from the inverter We have not spoke to the installer about the CT clamp since I noticed this late, however the installer insisted that the prepaid meter must be replaced with a new meter to fix the tripping problem. Thanks appreciate any info anyone has on this.

@Scorp007, ok I see I will look into it. Just another quick question I noticed my DC indicator on the inventer is off as you can see in the picture after turning the inverter back on is that normal? Sorry for the random questions I am still learning alot.

@TaliaB just to add, when I set it to 'zero export to CT' the CT only goes red and negative when my house load is below roughly 250w as you can see in the first image. I don't understand why.

@TaliaB thanks for the reply Tailab, I swapped the white and black wire as you showed, white was in 5 and black was in 6; I swapped black into 5 and white into 6. However, this seems to have made it worse, check the attached image (Zero export to CT). I then swapped it back to the way it was. Could the distance also be an issue? It is quite far about 30m+

@Scorp007 thanks for reply, when you say swap the two wires do you mean the black and white wire of the CT? and do I have to change the direction of the CT clamp?

Hi All, I am new here I have a Deye 8kw, x20 550W panels, x2 Revov R200 10.2 KW When I switch to "Zero export to CT" some of the load seems to stay on the meter approximately 200-300w and if the house consumes less that 200W it seems to export power. I assume this should not be loading any power on the meter except for the 20w of zero export power. The zero export to load seems to be working as expected. Thanks all
