Just in case anyone else hits this :-)
Seeems this model isn't compatible with 3.1 of the firmware, downgraded back to 3.0 and everything working fine. Oh and another tip is that it does not work with 3.0.38 of batteryview make sure you use 3.0.37

Just wanted to say thanks very much, particularly to  @Youda
We are off grid so totally dependant on the system working.  We bought 3 new US3000C to add to our existing 12 and felt it was wise to get them all updated particularly with the overvoltage issues.
Follow the guides and all went well.  Having both files in the zip really does make it "idiot proof".
So thanks for the awesome resource and sharing.  🙂
