Just my tuppence worth, nearly 4 years ago I invested in a system comprised of a Kodak 7.5 inverter “ not the cheapest either “ 14 panels and two Freedom Won 5/4 batteries..a year ago approximately I went to visit family in CT and on my return found the Kodak had died on me with the obvious results of everything in freezer being not toast..🙈 getting the agents to honor the warranty was so frustrating that I gave up and opted to have a Sunsynk 8kw installed ..not cheap but has a lot more going for it..if it goes down Eskom will automatically be switched in to save the day so to speak..however I’m not a very trusting person so I have a gadget called SimPal which has a SIM card it gets plugged in to any plug in the house and will send a sms “ power lost “ or “ power restored “ whichever the case is and then I can call in the troops who have access to my home to sort it out.
