  1. Thanks, really appreciate the input.
  2. First post from me but I have been lurking around here for a while. So, I was recently given a decent but old and well used Victron Phoenix 12/2000 Compact and on dropping it into my system, it promptly blew a capacitor on what looks like a main power bank of four caps. I'm pretty sure it was the fault of my old SCC because the BMS shut down the battery due to cell over-voltage just before the cap went - so I reckon somehow the extra voltage ended up bypassing the battery and doing the cap in (but I'm no expert so that is a proper guess, so those with more knowledge, please put me right). Anyhow it looks like I have solved the over-voltage issue (new SCC) and weirdly enough, the inverter still hums along quite happily, powering my fridge. But now, for obvious reasons, I want to replace all the capacitors on that bank since the inverter is probably over 10 years old. The cap is a 25v, 15000uf, 85℃ Sancon CD295 series. It looks to be about 25 by 40mm but I haven't got around to dismantling the inverter and checking the pin type and config because the fridge is very necessary out here in the Tankwa Karoo right now. So before I power down and start that process, I figured I'd see if there may be someone on this forum with direct knowledge of these inverters who can help me avoid losing all my frozen meat and guide me as to what would be a suitable replacement unit and where I could source these.
