Was out of the country for a while. Will give the advice through to the installer when he comes on Monday. I picked up a few other small issues, but was rectified by a software update from DEYE...(time not holding/screen randomly scrolling or changing and coming on out of it's own)

Hi I have 2 x 5kw inverters running in parallel. Everything was running fine until I added 6 more panels. I will randomly get F23 error one one or the other inverter which then triggers F41 error. F23 according to the manual is something to do with the earthing and F41 is to do with the parallel connection. When removing the new string the problem still occurs although it never was an issue. The installer was there and checked and tested, but can't find any issues with the installation, The errors occur random days and roughly at either 06h00 or 17h00 during the day. Some days it would work error free for 2-5 days and then the errors will occur for 2-3 days back to back...The manual says that if it persists Deye must be contacted, but I sent them a mail and no response Any thoughts?

Thanks for the feedback. Space is an issue on the morning side roof, can't add there. Not really sure where the installer got the batteries from. He informed me yesterday that he is waiting for customs to clear a new batch of solar and batteries from his supplier...I will stay with series connection. Thanks

Hi there Just need some advise...semi new to the solar community. Setup is as follow: 2 x 5kw Deye inverters 14 x 545w Bi Facia panels (1 string x 6 panels, 1 string x 4 panels for morning, 1 string x 4 panels for afternoon) 3 x Solarmann 5.12kw 100ah batteries 1x 6 and 1 x 4 morning panel on 1st inverter 1 x 4 afternoon panels on 2nd inverter I'm in the process to adding 6 more panels and then connecting it on the 2nd inverter. All panels are currently connect in series. I have no shade during the day on any panels. Question 1: Should I rather keep everything in series for the quickest charging of the batteries or put some of the panels in parallel? The morning/afternoon panels get almost constant sun...at 08h00 the afternoon panels eg puts out 3-500w when the morning panels produce 1.5kw. From about 11h00 both produce max of 1.5kw and in the late afternoon the roles are reversed. Question 2: I'm struggling to get a 4th exact same battery from the supplier. Can I get/use an exact same specked battery, just a different make with my 3 batteries? I know they will look different, but current batteries have communication cable between them to the inverter and dip switches where I select the numbering of the batteries 1-3... Waiting to hear form you guys

The installer set the discharge limit...it's currently at 115ah. So, basically the heaters won't damage the inverter/batteries...it's more to do with the soc of the batteries and managing the load on the inverters when using the heaters so I don't go over the max load of the inverter/s

That time of morning we get dressed for the day etc...food was prepped the previous evening...there is almost no load in my house untill 07h30 when my sprinkler system comes on..that time of morning a microwave won't throw me over the limit. My biggest concern is that the heating "element" may cause damage as per some people's advice that I spoke to. I can manage the time the heater is on when getting up and leaving the house manually, so if there isn't enough battery, then I will adjust the time I run the heater

My biggest concern was that I can't run the heaters on a solar system...If I can run the batteries on solar without "damaging" them, I know I will be able to manage the battery/usage to not deplete the batteries completely...

The ceilings are insulated. The reason for my question is that I got various answers for my question...some saying that your'e not allowed to run heaters/elements on a solar system....some say only a specific infra red type of heaters or specially designed heaters for inverters. At that stage in the morning my battery is at least 40% and my total house usage is less then 1kw at that stage. The load gets split between the 2 inverters, so not even 500w per inverter...This is at 5-7 in the morning...Have a gas stove for boiling water etc....so minimal stuff is on...I think the 1 heater draws about 800w and the other maybe 1.5kw....not big heaters...is used just to warm up so you don't "freeze" while getting dressed...:)

Hi there I'm fairly new to the whole solar thing. Had a previous question and you guys gave awesome advice. I'm back with a new question. My current system is 2 x 5kw Deye inverters, 4 x 5.2kw batteries and 20 x 545w bifacial panels...I sorted all the stuff out from my previous issues regarding the low voltage etc. For the summer I have a lot of fans for cooling the house down. This winter will be my first winter with solar. I spoke to a few people and I get mixed answers...Currently I have a few heaters that I used last winter. We usually only use them fore an hour or 2 in the morning to heat up the room when getting dressed. What is the do's and don'ts regarding heaters and the inverters/solar/battery?

Thanks...can I connect them.in series as they are close enough and make 1 string of 6, but how will it be affected when only half the panels.get sun in the morning and then the other half onlymin the afternoon?

@GreenFields I checked the manual.and the startup is 125v and the mppt voltage range is 150-425v. I will talk to the installer for more panels...thanks
