Thanks! Yeah it's specifically a Deye 6kw inverter that's replacing the 5kw. Is SunSynk and Deye the same thing? Will 8 550w solar panels be sufficient enough to charge 2 batteries?

Appreciate all the helpful responses on my solar query! I've received a quote from El Solar Solutions which includes: 1* Deye 5kVA Smart Inverter (10-year warranty) 1* Volta New GEN 5.1kW Li Battery 8* JA Solar 550W Monocrystalline Panels For a total of 75k, installation and COC included. I wanted to add two more panels, but they advised against it, saying the added cost for cables and mounts wouldn't be worth the extra output. I'm now considering adding another battery for 18k. Also, i was told Deye is switching from the 5kVA to a 6kVA inverter. Should I insist on getting the 6kVA model installed? Any thoughts on the benefits of the 6kVA, and is it worth pushing for?

So you able to run the geyser on this system as well? - I was thinking about getting a Gas geyser. But perhaps wont be necessary. So in essence you pay Eskom roughly R200pm?

One company I came across is "The Solar Shop South Africa", but their prices seem almost too good to be true. For example, they offer this bundle: 👉 5kW Deye + 5kWh Volta Solar Bundle My main questions:Is this a good idea? Has anyone purchased from The Solar Shop SA before? Are they legit? What should I expect in terms of installation costs, including a valid CoC (Certificate of Compliance)? Any recommendations for reputable installers in Pretoria?
