Hi All, This is one for the Battery guru's ! I have a 12.5 kw Sunsynck 3 phase Inverter with 3 x Dyness A48100 batteries. 12 x (455w) solar panels, for residential use. Purchased 20 May 2022. During that time it was regarded a system for a larger house and that 3 batteries should be fine. The advice I received was that "one can always add on batteries later" . During that time the batteries was selling for end user (Myself) at R 27 999 / per battery. Recently I wanted to purchase 3 x more batteries to expand my system. Only to find that the batteries are DISCONTINUED ! The installers advice to me was that I must purchase 2 x new Dyness powerbricks 15.3 Kwh. Cost R 86 k installed and basically the 3 previous batteries is redundant and cannot be used anymore ! So basically R 90 K down the drain for the old batteries. The BX51100 cannot be used according to them as they run different Voltage systems ! Obviously , I will never by Dyness again ! What is going to happen when the new batteries are getting discontinued, Is it going to be R86 k down the drain again ? Is there anything that can be done ? Is the BX51100 not compatible with the A48100 ? It does not help if you have a warranty, and you are not near your lifecycle but you cannot find batteries that are compatible ?
