  1. Hi Mike, Thank you for your reply. I'm definitely going to have a look at that_to see if we could alter the limits. And phone Eskom to ask them to have a look at the transformer settings...
  2. Good evening, We have a grid-tie PV system on a small holding. 5kW SMA Sunny Boy. The voltage from Eskom fluctuates, if higher the Sunny Boy shuts off. I guess it is because of a built in protection thing. I've read about Voltage regulators, stabilizers and UPS'e. I spoke to various people whom suggested different methods in solving the problem. My understanding is that I need something to put infront of the inverter that keeps the voltage consistent at 230V, so that the inverter will not shut off. (Guess you will also need this if you use a generator as your input) What should I buy? Where? and what size?_if I just want to stabilize/regulate/keep the V consistent for the inverter? could we "put"it infront of the DB so that the Voltage is already regulated before the supply goes to the house? / for certain circuits? You help will truly be appreciated.
  3. Good day, One of our clients are looking for an Enphase grid-tie micro inverter. I've heard that they are not currently approved for usage in the South African market. Does anyone have an idea were I will be able to locate an Enphase distributor in South Africa? If available in South Africa_how is their after-sales service? Your help will truly be appreciated.
