Good Morning Do any of you have more information on these batteries? I have recently found a supplier in Cape Town for the 3kW packs, but I have no information on these packs SOLTARO-ESS-ALL-IN-ONE_UserManual.V2.pdf
  3. Thank you. So will the Inverter still be powered by the batteries if it is not plugged into an AC socket? If that is the case then an MPPT (100/30A) with a panel (300W) will do for. Or would you recommend that I use the 75/15 MPPT as it is only a 2 battery system? Is this the correct configuration below?
  4. Good Morning I have this caddy for backup power and was wondering what additional components I will need to charge it from solar panels I suspect that I will have to disable the internal charger, and then connect an MPPT (30A) to the batteries, but I might be wrong... PS: Not that it is related to this, but inverter is Victron 800VA Multiplus 800,12,35, thus I might need to disable the internal charger on it... Specs
  5. Thank you for the assistance. Make sense. Will have a look at a smaller panel and 2 batteries and use the calculations above to respec. 😀
  6. Ok, to quickly wrap my head around a small system If I connect a 100Ah AGM (12V) to a 12V 20A MPPT and a 300w Inverter and to a 330W panel with the following specs : MPPT Specs Will I be able to run all my lights (less than 100W) per day off of this system if the I use less than 30A (DOD 30%) over a 24 hour period? Roughly how long will it take the 330W panel to recharge the battery during the day (Assuming full output from the panel) At 8.88A, I assume 3.5 hours? Will I be able to use load (Switch on lights), while the battery is charging? Apologies for the simple example, but some explanation will be appreciated.
  7. Thank you. That make sense.
  8. Hi, apologies for the late reply. Cheapest I found was R19 450k for the US3000 https://www.inverter-warehouse.co.za/products/pylon-tech-lithium-ion-3-5kw-us3000b-battery I also asked Sinetech for a quotation, but they seem a bit excessive with pricing. They also do not promote PylonTech or Blue Nova. Only stock Victron and Freedomwon Lithium I also require some assistance. I have a KStar 1000VA UPS on my fish tank. It came with 2 x 7Ah Sealed batteries in 24v config. I would like to add 2 of the same batteries to this 24v config. What is the best way to wire them? Example 1 or 2? Example 1 Example 2
  9. Good Morning I am a new member, but old stalker of this forum. I am in the Randburg area, and I am interested in converting my lights and entertainment unit into an permanent off grid solution with room for expansion as funds become available I have been researching solar offerings with Lithium Batteries for almost 3 years now, and finally the Blue Nova or PylonTech seems to fit my budget. I am still a bit indecisive about the TYPE of Inverter, but size wise I am look at 4000VA to 5000VA 48V varieties with built in Chargers (Mainly due to the expansion future planning mentioned above) I have about 50% roof space that is North Facing, thus no issues to fit 20 panels on there. So, I will be in the Inverter section mostly to weigh my options. As mentioned above, I am not looking to feed back into the grid, purely off grid or Hybrid. Thanks for having me...
