Looking more into it a heat pump may be the better way to go, and would be easier to move onto a PV setup at a later stage.
I did a 24 hour test and my geysers are using 30kwh out of the 60 to 80kwh.
Issue is my geysers are on either ends of the roof. I have a very large flat roof where I can put a mini solar farm, approximately 500sqm of roof space.
I am also based in Johannesburg.
