  1. Turns out, CPU load is not the issue. Hass.io doesnt enjoy running on same box as ICC using an off the shelf installation (pretty much all Im capable of in Linux unfortunately) What I noticed: Having installed Configurator, I get a 403 Forbidden from nginx Having installed Samba (an alternate way to configure/backup configs), the share doesnt appear on my LAN (10.0.0.0/8). The config I used for Samba was: { "workgroup": "WORKGROUP", "username": "xxxxxx", "password": "xxxxxx", "interface": "wlan0", "allow_hosts": [ "10.0.0.0/8", "172.16.0.0/12", "192.168.0.0/16" ] } I'd be really happy if someone who has managed to get these two to work on the same box as ICC could share
  2. Are you concerned about cpu load running both from one Pi? I'm gonna try this today, but I think icc is already quite cpu intensive so... we shall see!

    Yeah I changed my Venus GX to use HTTP rather than HTTPS (not knowing if it would have a fit about some 3rd party man in the middle cert) - it needed a reboot before it would actually implement that change, but did the job. Thanks for that, I was being impatient and didnt check for compression! (I should have noticed the header)

    @plonkster forgive my necro-post. I was looking into this over the weekend. inspected data from my Venus GX to the VRM to see if there was a way I could emulate a Venus GX's form posts to the VRM using data I had logged on my Raspberry Pi. Using Wireshark, it looked like the payload was encrypted but possibly was just compressed? Do you know?

  6. Hi all I recently bought a Mecer Axpert MKS II 5kva and am in the process of setting it up. I have read in the manual that its MPPT charge controller has a limit of 18A which comes a little close to the Imp rating of my panels in their current configuration (two parallel strings of seven panels in series, each string outputting of 8.91A @ Imp and 9.22A @ Isc i.e. 17.82A Imp and 18.44A Isc when combined in parallel) The exact panel specs are: DESCRIPTION Pmax (Wp) Vmp (V) Imp (A) Voc (V) Isc (A) Length Width Jinko 330W 330 38.2 8.91 47.5 9.22 1956 992 Is this configuration likely to damage the MPPT controller on the Axpert? Any practical experience advice would be greatly appreciated!
