  1. https://eosweb.larc.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/sse/[email protected] has good solar and some wind data, this data is intended for design of solar sytems and has extensive amounts of information
  2. Hi could you elaborate on your battery bank situation and how you connected the bank in terms of series and parallel strings. I have similar batteries and am looking to reconfigure my system so just want to know how you or anyone else connected their bank. This is mainly from a lot of info from the web advising against large number of parallel string but I cannot se a way around it that is feasable as i need a 1000ah 24v battery bank and already have 10 deltec 105ah batteries
  3. Hi, I am designing a solar array and need solar insolation data that is accurate and hopefully been used for similar purposes by members of this forum for correctly sizing their arrays in south africa. I have been using a website called gaisma which has most major towns in south africa but I am not sure of its accuracy, what sources have you guys used for sizing your solar systems? The above website says that cape town has a June average of 2.5 Kwh/m^2/day and a peak in the summer months at 7.96 Kwh/m^2/day. Regards and thanks, JNSMAR043
